Jaish-e-Mohammed's Growing Women's Wing: 5,000 Members Recruited for Online Radicalization and Training

Jaish-e-Mohammed has rapidly expanded its women's wing, Jamaat ul Mominaat, recruiting over 5,000 members across Pakistan. Led by Masood Azhar's sister Sadia, the organization conducts online radicalization sessions for Rs 500, potentially preparing women for fidayeen attacks similar to ISIS and LTTE tactics. Security agencies have increased concerns following connections to recent terrorist activities.

Security establishment sources indicate that over 5,000 women have been enlisted in Jaish-e-Mohammed's newly established wing, Jamaat ul Mominaat, with ongoing radicalization efforts. Jaish chief Masood Azhar has confirmed via social media that recruitment numbers for the terror organization's women's wing are increasing significantly, necessitating the establishment of district-level units.

Azhar stated, "Through Allah's blessing, more than 5,000 women have joined within just weeks. Many sisters report that upon recruitment, their mindset transformed and they discovered life's true purpose. We will form district units, each with a designated muntazima (manager), and distribute responsibilities. Five thousand members in such a brief period is remarkable."

Sources reveal that the recruitment campaign for Jamaat ul Mominaat commenced on October 8 at Jaish headquarters, Markaz Usman-o-Ali. The initiative has drawn women from various Pakistani regions including Bahawalpur, Multan, Sialkot, Karachi, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli into the terrorist organization.

The women's wing is led by Masood Azhar's sister, Sadia, whose husband Yusuf Azhar was killed during India's Operation Sindoor targeting terror facilities in Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack that resulted in 26 civilian casualties. Another prominent figure in the wing is Afira, wife of Pulwama attack orchestrator Umar Farooq, who died in a subsequent encounter.

According to sources, Jamaat ul Mominaat conducts online training for recruits through 40-minute sessions, with each participant paying Rs 500. The strategy involves radicalizing women to create terror brigades capable of executing fidayeen attacks similar to those by ISIS, Hamas, and LTTE.

Jamaat Ul Mominaat gained prominence after the Delhi car explosion last month that killed 13 people. Investigators have connected Dr. Shaheen Saeed, arrested following a major explosives seizure in Faridabad near Delhi, to this Jaish terror wing.

When initially launching the organization, Azhar announced that female members would receive training comparable to male Jaish recruits. While men undergo the 15-day "Daura-e-Tarbiat" course, women joining Jamaat-ul-Mominaat participate in an induction program called "Daura-e-Taskiya," conducted at Markaz Usman-o-Ali.

Azhar has implemented strict regulations for women joining the brigade, including prohibiting communication with "unrelated men through phone or messenger, except their husbands or immediate family members."
