Last year, the JMM-led INDIA bloc under Hemant Soren's leadership secured a decisive victory with 56 seats in Jharkhand.
Congress general secretary KC Venugopal on Wednesday firmly rejected reports suggesting fractures within the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)'s coalition government headed by Hemant Soren in Jharkhand.
Venugopal characterized the alliance as "rock-solid, cohesive" and dedicated to implementing policies centered on people's welfare.
In his statement posted on X, Venugopal shared, "Spoke to Jharkhand CM Shri Hemant Soren today. Let there be no doubts - our INDIA alliance in Jharkhand is rock-solid, cohesive, and fully committed to advancing people-centric welfare policies that reflect the aspirations of every citizen of Jharkhand."
He further alleged that right-wing networks were circulating false rumors while emphasizing that the alliance's unity remained strong.
"The malicious narrative and coordinated rumour mongering being propagated by right-wing troll networks are but signs of their growing desperation and political insecurity. We are not affected by such cheap trolling, and it can never dilute the trust people have placed in us. Our unity is intact, our purpose is clear, and our alliance remains stronger than ever," his post continued.
In the previous year's elections, the JMM-led coalition achieved victory by securing 56 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand assembly. The JMM won 34 seats, with alliance partners contributing an additional 22 seats. Among these allies, the Congress secured 16 seats, the RJD won 4, and the CPI-ML obtained 2 seats.
The BJP-led NDA managed to win only 24 seats in total. The BJP claimed 21 seats, while its partners - AJSU party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and JD-U - each won a single seat.
The electoral battle was between the JMM-headed alliance, which included Congress, RJD, and CPI(ML), and the BJP-led NDA coalition comprising AJSU, JD(U), and LJP.
A day earlier, Congress MP KC Venugopal had criticized the Sanchar Saathi application, describing it as "an attack on privacy."
Speaking to ANI, Venugopal remarked, "It is an attack on privacy. This is what it seems to be. In the name of helping, the BJP is trying to attack the privacy of the common people. We had an experience with Pegasus here in India. The government is trying to put surveillance on all the people of the country through this app..."
