Gurugram:
A 12-year-old student from sixth grade tragically took her own life by hanging in the Shani Enclave area of Bhondsi, reportedly following her mother's request for her to focus on studies, according to police statements released Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the girl's mother was not at home. Police reports indicate that Muskan was enrolled at a government school in Naya village. Her father works as a daily wage laborer, while her mother is employed as a domestic helper.
The investigation has revealed that upon returning from school, Muskan began engaging with her younger siblings in play activities. Her mother had instructed her to attend to her studies before leaving.
When her mother departed for her evening work shift, Muskan proceeded to hang herself in her bedroom while her siblings continued playing outside.
The siblings later discovered her and immediately notified neighbors and their mother about the situation.
No suicide note was found at the scene, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, as stated by a police officer.
