Russian President Vladimir Putin is arriving in India tomorrow for a two-day diplomatic visit.
New Delhi:
An elaborate five-layer security arrangement featuring Russia's Presidential Security Service personnel, elite National Security Guard commandos, strategic sniper positions, drone surveillance, signal jammers, and artificial intelligence monitoring systems has been established ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin's imminent arrival in India.
Putin's visit to India for the India-Russia Annual Summit, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's invitation, is expected to commence tomorrow evening. Sources indicate the Russian President will share a private dinner with Prime Minister Modi upon arrival. The following day, Putin will receive a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan before visiting Mahatma Gandhi's memorial at Raj Ghat. His schedule includes the summit proceedings at Hyderabad House, an event at Bharat Mandapam, and attendance at a banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
To ensure comprehensive protection during this packed itinerary, over four dozen elite Russian security operatives have already arrived in Delhi, according to insider sources.
These officials, working in coordination with Delhi Police and NSG personnel, are meticulously securing every route the Russian President's motorcade will traverse. Specialized surveillance drones will provide continuous visual feeds to a dedicated control room monitoring Putin's movements. Multiple sniper teams will be strategically positioned along presidential routes. The security apparatus also incorporates signal jammers, AI-powered monitoring systems, and facial recognition technology as part of an extensive technological security deployment.
Sources reveal that the planned five-layer security perimeter will activate immediately upon Putin's landing. All security personnel will maintain constant communication with the central control room.
The outer security layers will be managed by NSG operatives and Delhi Police officers, while the inner security rings remain under Russian Presidential Security control. When Putin meets with Prime Minister Modi, India's Special Protection Group commandos, responsible for the Prime Minister's security, will integrate into the inner security formation.
Putin's accommodation has undergone thorough security assessments. Russian security teams are conducting advance inspections at all scheduled visit locations. Additionally, contingency plans for potential unscheduled stops have been developed, with these alternate locations also undergoing security evaluations.
A notable element of Putin's security detail is the Aurus Senat, a heavily armored luxury limousine used by the Russian President. This specialized vehicle is being transported from Moscow specifically for Putin's India visit. Interestingly, Putin previously shared this vehicle with Prime Minister Modi during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in China earlier this year.
Often described as a 'fortress-on-wheels,' the Aurus Senat represents Russian automotive engineering excellence in the full-size luxury limousine category, developed by Aurus Motors. Introduced in 2018, the Senat serves as Putin's official state vehicle and forms part of the "Kortezh" project—a Russian initiative to create domestic luxury armored vehicles for governmental use.
