The NIA is conducting a thorough investigation into the Delhi blast case.
Srinagar:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive searches today across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh as part of their ongoing investigation into the Delhi car bomb blast case.
A spokesperson for the anti-terror agency reported that digital devices and other incriminating materials were seized during the searches carried out at premises of several accused and suspects across the two states.
According to the NIA, the raids targeted eight locations across Shopian, Kulgam, and Pulwama districts in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as one location in Lucknow.
These search operations form part of a comprehensive investigation launched by the NIA following the Delhi blast. This marks the second raid in a week on premises connected to the main accused in the case.
"On November 26 and 27, the NIA conducted extensive searches at the premises of the prime accused, Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganie and Dr Shaheen Saeed, in the Al Falah University complex and other locations in Haryana's Faridabad. A significant amount of cash, foreign currency, gold and other incriminating materials were seized during those searches, and these items are being carefully examined to uncover the conspiracy behind the bombing," the NIA stated.
To date, the anti-terror agency has apprehended seven key suspects. "The NIA teams are interrogating the arrested accused while pursuing various leads related to the November 10 blast outside the Red Fort in Delhi. Eleven people lost their lives and several others were injured in this deadly terror attack," the NIA confirmed.
In an official statement, the NIA emphasized that it continues to work in close collaboration with various state police forces to track down and arrest every member of the terrorist module involved in the bomb attack.
