Delhi has experienced its coldest November in five years, with the monthly average minimum temperature dropping to 11.5 degrees Celsius, according to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The average minimum temperature for November 2024 was recorded at 14.7 degrees Celsius, while it stood at 12 degrees in 2023, 12.3 degrees in 2022, and 11.9 degrees in 2021.
Simultaneously, daytime maximum temperatures remained lower compared to the previous year.
This November's average maximum temperature settled at 27.7 degrees Celsius, down from 29.4 degrees recorded last year.
The lowest maximum temperature was 25.1 degrees Celsius, resulting in pleasantly cool days across the capital.
November 2025 was completely dry, with Delhi not recording any rainfall, highlighting a continued dry spell during the post-monsoon period, similar to last year's pattern.
By comparison, November 2023 had experienced two days with rainfall.
The lowest minimum temperature recorded this month was 8 degrees Celsius, while it was 9.5 degrees in 2024 and 9.2 degrees in 2023, according to the meteorological data.
On Saturday, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 10.4 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, and a maximum of 26.5 degrees Celsius, which was 0.5 notches above normal.
The weather department has forecast fog conditions for Sunday.
