The unfortunate event took place in the Al Majaz district last week while the woman was reportedly conducting a special ritual at her residence, as stated by Gulf News citing local authorities. The report did not disclose the woman's identity but confirmed her nationality as Indian.
The fire erupted late Thursday in an apartment situated on the eighth floor of an 11-storey complex. Authorities reported that the blaze was confined to the woman's residence and was successfully contained before spreading further.
Emergency services, including Civil Defence teams and police units, promptly responded to the distress call. Following the incident, the woman's remains were transported for post-mortem examination, as detailed in the report.

According to the examining physician quoted in the report, unmistakable marks were observed on the woman's neck, indicating suicide.
