Indian-Origin Man Extradited From US To Canada In Connection With 2021 Assault Case

Sukhpreet Singh, a 25-year-old Indian-origin man arrested in Texas, has been extradited to Canada to face charges of aggravated assault in connection with the 2021 attack on Elnaz Hajtamiri. Singh becomes the eighth suspect charged in the case, which is linked to Hajtamiri's subsequent kidnapping from Wasaga Beach in 2022. Authorities continue to investigate her disappearance with a CAD 100,000 reward offered for information.
