Multiple British universities have implemented admission restrictions for Pakistani and Bangladeshi students following concerns about visa abuse and asylum claims. At least nine UK institutions have suspended recruitment from these countries after the government tightened visa compliance thresholds, requiring universities to maintain visa refusal rates below 5% while Pakistan and Bangladesh currently face rejection rates of 18% and 22% respectively.
