Navy Musician Creates Antarctic Symphony: French Horn Player Performs at Earth's Coldest Stage

Natalie Paine, a French horn player from New Zealand's navy, brings music to Antarctica using a plastic jHorn designed for extreme conditions. Stationed at Scott Base since October, she practices in a historic 1957 hut while working as a communications operator, becoming possibly the first military musician to perform in temperatures reaching minus 21 degrees Celsius.
