Indian Railways Deploys 116 Additional Coaches Across 37 Premium Trains Following Flight Cancellations

In response to widespread flight cancellations, Indian Railways has significantly expanded capacity by adding 116 coaches to 37 premium trains nationwide. The East Central Railway has implemented comprehensive arrangements across Bihar stations to manage the Chhath Puja festival rush, increasing special train services from 7,500 to 12,000 this year. ECR General Manager Chhatrasal Singh outlined enhanced safety measures, centralized monitoring systems, and contingency plans to ensure smooth travel experiences for the massive influx of passengers visiting Bihar for the festival and returning afterward.
