In the Dampa assembly bypoll in Mizoram, Mizo National Front candidate R Lalthangliana has taken a 590-vote lead over ZPM's Vanlalsailova after the fourth round of counting. The election, necessitated by the death of incumbent MNF legislator Lalrintluanga Sailo, saw an 83.07% voter turnout with five parties contesting the seat.
