Kerala Minister Proposes Wild Boar Meat Consumption as Solution to Agricultural Crop Damage

Kerala Agriculture Minister P Prasad has suggested that allowing people to hunt and consume wild boar meat could effectively address the growing problem of crop destruction in the state. Speaking at a village event in Alappuzha, he noted that while wild boars are not endangered, current wildlife protection laws prevent this solution. His comments come shortly after Kerala passed amendments to the Wildlife Protection Act aimed at reducing human-animal conflicts.
