Uttarakhand Implements Green Tax System for Out-of-State Vehicles to Combat Pollution

Starting December, Uttarakhand will collect green tax from all vehicles entering from other states using automated camera systems. This environmental initiative establishes different tax rates for various vehicle categories, with amounts ranging from Rs 80 for small vehicles to Rs 700 for heavy trucks, all collected through an advanced ANPR camera network and automatic payment system.
