Indian-Origin Amita Chaudhury Becomes First Woman to Chair UN's Global Sustainable Insurance Board

Amita Chaudhury, an alumna of IIM Bangalore, has been appointed as the Chair of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative Principles for Sustainable Insurance Board, becoming the first woman of Indian origin to hold this prestigious global position. With extensive experience including senior roles at Unilever, she will now help lead UNEP FI's global partnership of over 500 financial institutions working to mobilize private finance for sustainable development.
