K Ramachandran was allegedly kidnapped along with nine others by rebels while returning from work. His family was informed of the abduction on November 23, but no demands have been made by the captors yet. Authorities are investigating the case as local police confirm many workers from the region travel to African countries for similar employment opportunities.
