Madhya Pradesh Expands Cheetah Conservation Efforts with New Sanctuary in Nauradehi

Madhya Pradesh is set to establish Nauradehi Sanctuary as its third cheetah habitat, following successful reintroductions at Kuno National Park and Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that cheetahs from Namibia will be relocated to this new conservation site, furthering India's efforts to reestablish the species that had disappeared from Asia. The state is also advancing other wildlife initiatives, including crocodile conservation and the upcoming establishment of the 61,407-hectare Omkareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary.
