UP police seized illegal liquor worth approximately Rs 17 lakh from a Bihar-bound truck in Ballia district. The driver, identified as Chandan Singh Yadav, was arrested while attempting to transport various brands of alcohol to election-bound Bihar where liquor is prohibited. The operation took place during routine police patrols, with voting in Bihar scheduled for November 6 and 11.
