A young Pakistani couple, Popat and Gauri, eloped and crossed the India-Pakistan border on foot into Gujarat's Kutch district after facing opposition to their relationship from their families. The pair traveled 8 kilometers from their village before being detained by Border Security Force personnel near pillar number 1016, marking the second such cross-border elopement incident in just two months.
