Following an international manhunt, authorities seized hardware and froze bank accounts containing over Rs 3 crore linked to operations that reportedly cost the Telugu film industry Rs 3,700 crore in 2024 alone. The sophisticated piracy network utilized Caribbean servers, cryptocurrency transactions, and encrypted communications to distribute illegal content across over 70 mirror sites.

The operation, which used cryptocurrency for all transactions, involved server hacking and in-theater recording techniques. Five suspects were arrested, including the mastermind behind 1TamilBlasters who earned over Rs 2 crore from illegal film distribution since 2020.
