The Karnataka High Court's Dharwad bench has dismissed the state government's appeal against a stay order on restrictions for private organizations holding events in public spaces. The Madras High Court has issued a notice to actor Vijay, leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), regarding a copyright and trademark infringement claim over the party's flag. Chennai-based trust Thondai Mandala Saandror Dharma Paribalana Sabai filed an appeal challenging a previous ruling that allowed TVK to continue using its flag. The division bench has scheduled a further hearing in six weeks.
