The operation resulted in seizure of Rs 20.5 lakh cash, digital devices, and over 50 property-related documents from premises allegedly linked to benamidars channeling illegal wealth into real estate and business ventures.

The CBI has arrested Riten Kumar Singh, executive director of NHIDCL Guwahati, while accepting a Rs 10 lakh bribe. Subsequent searches uncovered Rs 2.62 crore in cash and extensive undisclosed assets including multiple properties across India, luxury vehicles, and valuables. The bribe was allegedly for issuing favorable certificates for highway construction contracts in Assam.
