A rare waterspout tornado, locally known as 'Haathisundh', appeared at Odisha's famous Chilika Lake, causing both panic and fascination among tourists. State meteorologist Biswajit Sahoo confirmed this uncommon weather phenomenon, explaining that such waterspouts rarely occur in India, with only a few previous incidents recorded at this location in 2018 and 2019.
