Allahabad High Court Orders Rs 75,000 Compensation for Man Wrongfully Jailed in Kidnapping Case

The Allahabad High Court has ordered the Uttar Pradesh government to pay Rs 75,000 compensation after finding that police continued investigating a kidnapping case despite the alleged victim's statement that she left voluntarily. The court quashed the FIR against Umed alias Ubaid Khan, who was wrongfully imprisoned for over a month based on false allegations.
