Bangladesh Court Sentences Former PM Sheikh Hasina to 21 Years for Corruption in Land Allocation Cases

A Bangladesh court has sentenced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to 21 years in prison for corruption related to land allocations in the Rajuk New Town Project. Her son and daughter also received five-year sentences. Currently living in India since fleeing during protests last August, Hasina faces multiple legal challenges including a death sentence from a previous verdict. Bangladesh has requested her extradition from India.
