Activist Rahul Easwar Denied Bail and Remanded to 14-Day Judicial Custody in Kerala MLA Rape Case Defamation Charges

Activist Rahul Easwar has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody after a Thiruvananthapuram court rejected his bail application on Monday. Easwar faces charges of defaming the woman complainant in the sexual assault case against MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil. The Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police arrested him following allegations that he circulated the complainant's photograph on social media. Easwar denies the accusations, claiming police misled the court, while Congress leader Sandeep Warrier has also sought anticipatory bail in connection with the same case.
