The trial for the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya has officially begun, with his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi and four accomplices facing charges. Police recovered Raja's body from a gorge near Wei Sawdong Falls after he was allegedly hacked to death in a murder conspiracy that involved attackers traveling from Madhya Pradesh specifically to commit the crime. All five defendants have pleaded not guilty to charges including murder and criminal conspiracy under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
