Escaped Rape-Murder Convict Arrested After Killing Second Child in Thane District

A 33-year-old man who escaped police custody while facing charges for a previous child rape and murder has been arrested for sexually assaulting and killing another child in Thane, Maharashtra. The suspect, who had been on the run since August, allegedly strangled his 7-year-old neighbor and concealed her body before attempting to flee to Bihar. Authorities have charged him under the POCSO Act and Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
