Nepal authorities have implemented curfews following violent confrontations between Gen Z protesters and supporters of the former ruling party. The clashes, occurring in the Bara district, represent continued political tensions since September's deadly uprising that resulted in 76 fatalities and the ousting of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has appealed for calm as the country prepares for 2026 elections.
