    Indian-Origin Motel Manager Fatally Shot After Checking on Disturbance in Pittsburgh

    A 51-year-old Indian-origin motel manager, Rakesh Ehagaban, was fatally shot in Pittsburgh after approaching a suspect during a disturbance outside his motel. The suspect, Stanley Eugene West, also shot a female companion before engaging in a gunfight with police. Surveillance footage captured the entire incident, showing Ehagaban simply asking if the armed man was "alright" before being shot at point-blank range.
