Authorities in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh have intercepted a major drug trafficking operation, seizing 1.19 lakh bottles of codeine-containing cough syrup worth Rs 3 crore. Three suspects from Madhya Pradesh were arrested while transporting the contraband from Ghaziabad to Jharkhand, cleverly concealed among snack cartons to evade detection.
