After evading authorities for nearly half a century, 71-year-old Chandrashekhar Madhukar Kalekar has been arrested by Mumbai's Colaba Police for a 1977 attempted murder case. The suspect, who attacked his girlfriend with a knife over suspicions of infidelity, had been on the run for 48 years after skipping bail. A breakthrough in the cold case came when investigators discovered a 2015 road rage incident linked to Kalekar, eventually leading to his capture in Dapoli, Ratnagiri district.
