Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal for crimes against humanity during anti-government protests. The 78-year-old leader, who fled to India in August 2024, was found guilty on three counts including incitement and ordering killings that resulted in approximately 1,400 deaths according to UN reports.
