ISRO Chairman V Narayanan reports that India's first human spaceflight mission, Gaganyaan, has reached 90% completion with significant progress in rocket systems, orbital modules, and safety mechanisms. The program successfully tested its critical parachute-based deceleration system at Sriharikota, marking a key milestone before the planned crewed mission in early 2027, which will be preceded by three uncrewed flights including one featuring the Vyommitra prototype.
