Gujarat Forest Officer Murders Family While Having Long-Term Affair With Colleague

A Gujarat Assistant Conservator of Forests, Shailesh Khambhla, was arrested for killing his wife and two children after a four-year affair with a colleague was discovered. The premeditated murder occurred at his Bhavnagar residence where he buried the bodies in pre-dug pits, staged their disappearance, and confessed after police found his behavior suspicious. Marital conflicts over living arrangements apparently triggered the crime.
