Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed flights to the United Kingdom after a five-year suspension stemming from safety concerns and a fake pilot license scandal. The first flight from Islamabad to Manchester departed with 284 passengers, marking a significant milestone for the state-run airline that lost approximately $144 million annually during the ban. PIA plans to initially operate two weekly flights with future expansion to London and Birmingham as the airline works toward financial recovery.
