Congress has formed a five-member committee to initiate seat-sharing negotiations with DMK for Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly election. Led by Girish Chodankar, the committee will meet Chief Minister MK Stalin soon, reinforcing the alliance amid speculation following Rahul Gandhi's conversation with TVK chief Vijay. The Congress-DMK partnership previously saw success in the 2021 elections, with Congress winning 18 of 25 contested seats.
