Supreme Court Halts Calcutta High Court Proceedings on West Bengal OBC List Case

The Supreme Court has adjourned the West Bengal OBC list case for four weeks, directing the Calcutta High Court to cease all proceedings on the matter. The CJI BR Gavai-led bench expressed displeasure at the High Court's continued hearings despite previous Supreme Court orders staying their ruling that had paused publication of West Bengal's revised OBC list, which would include 140 communities.
