India's flagship rural employment scheme MNREGA is set to be renamed as Pujya Bapu Gramin Rozgar Yojana with enhanced benefits. The proposal before the Cabinet aims to increase employment guarantees from 100 to 125 days annually with an allocation exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh crore, benefiting 154 million rural workers nationwide.
