A 34-year-old domestic worker from West Bengal and her husband were allegedly subjected to a three-hour assault by Bengaluru police officers at Varthur Police Station after being falsely accused of stealing a diamond ring. The Karnataka State Human Rights Commission is now investigating the incident, with the Home Minister demanding a detailed report on the alleged police brutality that left the woman requiring hospital treatment.
