Tarique Rahman Set to Return to Bangladesh After 17 Years as Former PM Khaleda Zia's Health Deteriorates

Tarique Rahman, son of critically ill former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, will end his 17-year self-exile in London and return to Bangladesh on December 25, just weeks before the country's parliamentary elections scheduled for February 12. The BNP has previously indicated Rahman would assume the prime minister role if the party wins and his mother remains medically unfit.
