Supreme Court Dismisses Centre's Challenge to MGNREGA Implementation Order in West Bengal

The Supreme Court has rejected the Centre's appeal against a Calcutta High Court order mandating MGNREGA implementation in West Bengal from August 1, 2025. The high court ruling allows the Centre to impose special conditions to prevent irregularities while reinstating the rural employment guarantee scheme that has been suspended in the state for nearly three years.
