Three US Representatives have introduced a resolution to terminate President Trump's national emergency declaration imposing 50% tariffs on Indian imports. Representatives Deborah Ross, Marc Veasey, and Raja Krishnamoorthi argue these tariffs are illegal, harm American consumers and workers, disrupt supply chains, and damage US-India economic and security relations. The resolution aims to rescind the additional 25% "secondary" duties imposed on August 27, 2025, which followed earlier tariffs justified by India's purchases of Russian oil.
