Supreme Court Calls Stone Pelting in J&K "Not an Ordinary Action" in Shabir Ahmed Shah Case

The Supreme Court has remarked that stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir is "not a very ordinary action" during proceedings where it directed separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah to approach the NC government for his detention order. Shah, chairman of the banned JKDPF and arrested in 2019, faces terror funding charges with alleged links to Pakistan-based networks. The court granted the NIA three weeks to respond to Shah's affidavit while maintaining his previous bail denial.
