    India's aviation regulator DGCA has fined IndiGo Airlines Rs 40 lakh after discovering the carrier trained approximately 1,700 pilots using flight simulators not qualified for critical airports like Calicut, Leh, and Kathmandu. Two separate penalties of Rs 20 lakh each were imposed on IndiGo's Director of Training and Director of Flight Operations for regulatory non-compliance, with officials given 30 days to pay or appeal the decision.
