A 10-year-old girl from the traveling Hakki Pikki community was found murdered near Mysuru Palace during the Dasara festival. Police suspect sexual assault preceded the killing and have apprehended a suspect named Karthik, who was injured during arrest when he attempted to flee. The victim's family had traveled from Kalaburagi to sell items during the festival when the tragedy occurred.
