Haryana's Rs 5,700 Crore 'Water Secure Haryana' Program: Transforming Irrigation Management with World Bank Support

The Haryana Government is launching the ambitious 'Water Secure Haryana' Program worth Rs 5,700 crore, with Rs 4,000 crore support from the World Bank. Starting in 2026, this six-year initiative aims to revolutionize irrigation and water management across 18 districts through advanced infrastructure, water body construction, treated wastewater reuse, micro-irrigation systems, sustainable agriculture practices, and innovative drainage solutions to transform Haryana into India's first truly water-secure state by 2032.
