Kashmir to Get Direct Rail Connection with Rest of India: Vande Bharat Expands Service

Northern Railways is working to establish direct rail connectivity between Kashmir and the rest of India following the successful launch of Vande Bharat trains on the Srinagar-Katra route. The historic rail service, inaugurated by PM Modi in June, now includes a new stoppage at Reasi station, benefiting pilgrims to Mata Vaishno Devi and tourists visiting the Chenab Bridge. Officials are addressing operational challenges to further enhance Kashmir's rail connectivity with the mainland.
