A 26-year-old Indian migrant worker from Jharkhand, Vijay Kumar Mahato, was killed in crossfire between police and an extortion gang in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Jharkhand's labour department is coordinating with the Indian Embassy to repatriate his remains and secure compensation for his family.
