Workers renovating an ancient Sivan temple near Javvadu hills in Tiruvannamalai uncovered a remarkable archaeological treasure of 103 gold coins dating back to the Chola era. The coins were found in a mud pot during sanctum sanctorum renovations at the temple believed to have been built during the reign of Rajaraja Cholan III.
